Turkeys!  Just a pair for Thanksgiving.

How sweet to raise a pair of turkeys for Thanksgiving? On a small property, they would do quite nicely. Feed them through out the summer into fall and they'll be ready. I currently don't have any information on Illinois butcher shops I could share. Hoping to have that information when I get to the chickens.

The above photos are from Garfield Farm Museum in La Fox, IL. This place is incredible to take a walking tour. The grounds have oak trees that have never been trimmed by man. They are massive. It's worth a trip.

The last pic is from All Grass Farm in West Dundee, IL. If you are craving good food. This is the place. They raise chickens, turkeys, pigs, beef and legally sell raw milk! So good. They used to give tours every Saturday but with Covid-19, I would contact them first.
