Pigs!  Any variety!

A farm would allow us to keep a pair of pigs. I want to hear the sounds. I have research yet to do to keep a pair but I know they need the basics: Shelter, water, food and plenty of rooting land. I have visions of allow them full access to the fields for tilling. Who needs a rotor tiller when you have pigs?

I come from Italian heritage and the desire to make Prosciutto is strong! I took a butcher class in Chicago a few years ago and watched the full dissection of a hog and how the hams were treated and processed. Having a farm could achieve this. 

Take a look at a Chicago Butcher shop!  The Butcher and Larder! This is a lost art. Visit if you have a chance. Know how it processed. Educate yourself. If you are a meat eater, don't be shy.
