Aged Out Foster Men

Reason No 83

This is the number 1 reason and maybe all 100 reasons. I wanted to mention it earlier in my reasons and maybe re-mention later. I feel it's really important.

 The young men I am talking about are the aged-out youths from the Chicago area foster care programs. These guys are the future of the Midwest and they need my guidance. I could give you the facts of what happens to these kids when they leave foster care but pretty sure you can guess. In most cases, it is not a promising future.

The plan is this – Take an abandoned farm and convert it to a sustenance farm. The young men will be the team/work force. They will be taught everything about taking an old farm and converting it to a food producing facility.

I am a strong advocate for learning through doing. Being able to feed and teach, well...  that's just a bonus! I would love the animals to show them what they can do. Animals can provide unconditional love. Everyone should have a chance to feel that form of adoration. Pretty sure this is what I was put on this earth for.

So - I have a lot of research to do on connecting with these men and even finding out if there is a desire for these young folks to work on a farm. I have a list of the jobs below. It could erupt into a fabulous career for them. That's the dream anyway.
