BBQ Chicken on Barrels

BBQ Chicken!
Oh boy - back in Indiana in I believe the late 1980's, there was a vendor called Port a Pit. They were on the side of the road during the summer months. I remember the locations were in an abandoned drive of a closed business. They brought 2-3 barrel grills and laid out whole chickens. Charcoal heat and they hand- turned the birds. Cars would drive up and someone handed it to you. It was a meal for $5.00. A chicken, bag of small buns and a coke. They had a cooler for the drinks and I only remember Coke being the option. No other sides as that would of meant refrigeration. So simple yet it was gosh darn it - DELICIOUS!
That was it. I've been thinking of this business concept lately. On a Farm - this would be easy. Especially with my own broilers. I would raise enough for a BBQ Port a Pit day or weekend. A once a month thing or summer only. - needs planning.
Barrel grills, charcoal and maybe a rotisserie that way it wouldn't need someone to manually flip them. I would include at least a salad and maybe cornbread muffins.
Oh boy! I get excited just thinking about trying it out.
